Yen Holds Near One-Month Low at 151.50 After Strong US PPI

USD/JPY steadied around 151.50 on June 10 as hotter-than-expected US PPI reinforced Fed hawkishness and offset reduced safe-haven demand following the Israel-Iran ceasefire. The pair had surged from near 152.00 on June 8 to test 155.50 on June 9 after Brent crude slumped more than 4 percent and risk appetite improved. Japanese officials, including Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki, stepped up verbal warnings, capping further yen losses near the psychologically important 155 level. The Indian rupee mirrored the moves, plunging below 83.50 on June 8 before recovering above the threshold once oil prices eased.
