WhiteBIT Integrates Bitcoin Lightning Network for Deposits and Withdrawals Powered by Voltage

Cryptocurrency exchange WhiteBIT has integrated Bitcoin's Layer-2 Lightning Network for deposits and withdrawals using infrastructure powered by Voltage. The platform introduced a percentage-based fee model of 0.25% for deposits and 0.15% for withdrawals, departing from traditional on-chain flat rates. Following the rollout, WhiteBIT's native token (WBT) declined 4.9% week-over-week to trade around $81.55. The integration aims to lower transaction times and fees for small to mid-sized transfers, remittances, and merchant payments, while WhiteBIT continues directing 33% of trading fees toward systematic WBT token burns.
