Wealthy Bitcoin Investors Shift to Loans and Yield Strategies, Xapo Bank CEO Says

High-net-worth Bitcoin holders are increasingly borrowing against holdings and seeking yield rather than selling, according to Xapo Bank CEO Seamus Rocca. The trend reflects maturing investment habits, with participants utilizing Bitcoin as a treasury asset and collateral. Rocca noted around 45% of Xapo clients use dollar savings accounts paying 4.1% base interest in Bitcoin. Driven by institutional allocations, Rocca projects Bitcoin could hit $250,000 within two to three years. Meanwhile, crypto markets saw mild downward pressure, with Bitcoin falling 1.59% to trade near $80,398, while Ethereum and Solana dropped 2.14% and 3.69%, respectively.
