Vietnam's VinSpace signs SpaceX launch deal for 2027

VinSpace, a unit of Vietnamese conglomerate Vingroup, said it has signed a launch contract with SpaceX for a satellite mission planned for 2027. The satellites will fly on a SpaceX Transporter rideshare mission, indicating VinSpace is moving from startup phase toward execution of its space strategy. The deal supports VinSpace’s ambitions across the space value chain, including satellite design, manufacturing, integration, launch management, operations, and data services. VinSpace was founded only last November with initial capital of 300 billion dong ($11.4 million), and Vingroup founder Pham Nhat Vuong holds a majority stake. The news is positive for VinSpace’s credibility and could help validate Vingroup’s broader push into aviation and space, but it is a strategic partnership announcement rather than an immediate revenue or earnings catalyst for listed markets.
