Valereum announces VGOLD deal with QGP that's described as "final jigsaw piece" for mine-to-token ecosystem

Valereum has agreed to convert its existing US$200m medium-term notes into VGOLD-CORE tokens valued at roughly US$279.5m, deepening its exposure to a gold-backed tokenisation structure with Quorium Global Photonics (QGP). The VGOLD-CORE tokens will be released quarterly over five years at US$13.975m per quarter and each tranche will be converted by reference to the LBMA gold price on release. Tokens will be held in escrow pending an independent verification (proof of reserves, asset‑backing attestation and smart‑contract audit); if verification fails the original note remains and the coupon due on 29 March becomes immediately payable in USD or USDC. Management frames the deal as aligning Valereum with QGP’s mine‑to‑investor token ecosystem and is aiming to monetise the tokenised gold opportunity, subject to final verification and regulatory approvals.
