US Bitcoin and Ether ETF Outflows Approach $1 Billion in Early October
Combined net outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded funds approached $1 billion in early October, reaching $986.3 million. The institutional retreat widened on October 8 with $316.6 million in combined daily redemptions, led by $244.1 million exiting Bitcoin funds and $72.5 million leaving Ether products. The sell-off intensified after Bitcoin ETFs shed $484.9 million on October 7—their largest single-day loss since June 25—led by BlackRock's IBIT. Amid the capital flight, Ether extended its outflow streak to eight consecutive sessions, while Bitcoin slipped to an intraday low of $80,427 before recovering near $82,500.
