Triple-A Hacker Transfers $12.4 Million in Ether to Tornado Cash

The hacker behind the July cyberattack on cryptocurrency payment provider Triple-A moved 4,970 Ether, valued at roughly $12.4 million, into mixing protocol Tornado Cash. The obfuscation occurred via 56 separate transactions following consolidation into a single wallet on October 9. Tracked by blockchain security firm Salus, the stolen funds were bridged to Ethereum and split between intermediary wallets on September 6 before being deposited into the mixer. Triple-A's corporate treasury suffered an estimated loss of $11.8 million during the initial breach, though customer funds held in segregated accounts remained unaffected.
