Trezor Adds Native USDC and USDT Yield for 2 Million Hardware Wallet Users
Trezor has added native yield functionality for USDC and USDT inside its Trezor Suite, enabling more than 2 million cold-wallet users to deposit stablecoins into Morpho-powered vaults (USDC Prime and USDT Prime managed by Steakhouse Financial) on Ethereum without using dApps or browser extensions. The feature uses on-device “clear-signing” to reduce phishing risk and relies on lending demand (not token incentives) to generate returns. By lowering operational friction for cold-custody users, the move could increase stablecoin on-chain liquidity and broader DeFi participation on Ethereum, with the first net performance report for the vaults scheduled at the end of Q2 2026.
