Thunder Gold Identifies New Gold Discovery At Tower Mountain Property, Shebandowan Greenstone Belt, Ontario.
Thunder Gold announced a new near-surface gold discovery at the Star Target on its Tower Mountain property, ~500 metres outside the current optimized pit. Initial 2026 drill results include TM26-193: 73.5 m @ 0.364 g/t Au (incl. 16.5 m @ 0.779 g/t) and TM26-194: 35.5 m @ 0.513 g/t Au (incl. 15.0 m @ 0.832 g/t). The company says the trend could materially expand resource potential within a 5 km corridor and is conducting a fully funded 15,000-metre program aimed at converting Inferred resources to Indicated within the pit shell. The January 19, 2026 MRE (used US$3,000/oz) lists 34.5 Mt Indicated at 0.46 g/t (514k oz) and 211.1 Mt Inferred at 0.45 g/t (3,053k oz). Market impact: positive for Thunder Gold’s exploration outlook and potential resource valuation, supportive for gold exposure, though commercial viability and further conversion remain subject to drill results and economic studies.
