Tesla taps Forum Mobility for California electric-truck charging stations

Tesla will operate public Megacharging sites across three new electric-truck depots in California developed by trucking-solutions provider Forum Mobility. The expansion adds 30 megawatts of dedicated charging capacity for heavy-duty commercial electric vehicles. The new depots include FM Francis in Ontario, along with FM Adeline and FM Coliseum in Oakland. These stations will feature Tesla's Megawatt Charging System (MCS) technology alongside Combined Charging System (CCS) ports, utilizing pull-through lanes designed to optimize freight turnaround times. Forum Mobility also noted that its Santa Fe facility in Rancho Dominguez has secured commitments from fleet operators for over 330 Tesla Semi trucks while making the facility available to third-party commercial fleets. Additionally, two MCS Megachargers were deployed at its Long Beach port depot. This infrastructure expansion represents a significant step in establishing heavy-duty commercial EV charging networks, removing operational bottlenecks for freight electrification. Building out this network supports Tesla's commercial scaling strategy ahead of its planned expansion of the Semi into the European logistics market next year.
