Tesla China-Made EV Deliveries Rise 5% in September to 95,366 Units
Tesla's deliveries of China-manufactured electric vehicles rose 5% year-on-year in September to 95,366 units, accelerating from a 3.6% gain in August. According to China Passenger Car Association data, third-quarter deliveries of Shanghai-built Model 3 and Model Y vehicles climbed 13.7% annually, marking the plant's 11th consecutive month of year-over-year gains. Although global third-quarter deliveries fell 2.1% from the prior year's record high, they beat analyst forecasts and positioned Tesla for full-year delivery growth. To defend market share, Tesla offers discounts up to 7,000 yuan through October.
