Tepper Doubles Amazon Stake as AMZN Hits $268 After 13F Reveal
Billionaire David Tepper’s Appaloosa has elevated Amazon to its largest holding after nearly doubling the stake in Q1. The fund added 2.14 million shares, bringing its position to 4.3 million shares worth roughly $900 million or 15.2 percent of the portfolio. This follows a 35 percent rally in AMZN from early February lows below $200 to around $268, supported by Amazon’s strong Q1 cloud revenue growth of 28 percent and upbeat Q2 guidance for 16–19 percent sales expansion. Earlier 13-F filings show Appaloosa trimmed overall assets by nearly $1 billion while exiting American Airlines and cutting Alibaba exposure to concentrate in U.S. tech names.
