Strategy CEO Details $80B Capital Raise Plan for More Bitcoin Buys

Strategy CEO Phong Le outlined plans to raise over $80 billion via debt, convertibles, preferred stock and equity to acquire additional Bitcoin. The announcement follows Strategy’s purchase of 1,587 BTC for $100 million, lifting holdings to a record 846,842 BTC and USD reserves above $1.1 billion. The move comes after the company’s late-May sale of 32 BTC, which triggered market FUD before being clarified as an operational test. Public firms added 43,557 BTC in May, including SpaceX’s 18,712 BTC disclosure, underscoring sustained corporate demand.
