Strategy Expands Buyback Program to $3B and Buys 267 Bitcoin for $22.1M

Strategy raised its digital credit securities repurchase authorization to $3 billion and acquired 267 Bitcoin for $22.1 million between October 12 and October 18. The cryptocurrency purchase, executed at an average price of $82,900 per coin, expanded Strategy's total holdings to 848,517 BTC with an aggregate cost basis of $64.02 billion. To fund the transaction, the firm sold 140,872 common shares for $22 million alongside $100,000 from cash reserves. Strategy simultaneously deployed $193.1 million to repurchase nearly 1.94 million STRC preferred shares, reducing flexible cash balances to $447.3 million while retaining $4.83 billion in its designated USD reserve.
