Stormlands re‑rates Odienné with 153% NPV surge
Stormlands Mining released an AI-driven re-rating of Awalé Resources’ Odienné gold project in Côte d’Ivoire, arguing the project’s economics are materially stronger than previously modeled. Using data from a NI 43-101 technical report and an updated gold price of $4,877.4/oz, the case study lifted estimated NPV from $891.8 million to $2.25 billion, a 153% increase. Life-of-mine revenue was raised to $6.88 billion from $4.38 billion, while EBITDA nearly doubled to $4.32 billion. The analysis also improved IRR to 152.25% from 69.42% and cut payback to about eight months. The article is supportive for gold sentiment and highlights the leverage of gold prices on early-stage mine valuations, though it is a model-based reassessment rather than a new production or financing event.
