St. Cloud Financial Credit Union Integrates Bitcoin Custody Directly Onto Core Ledger

St. Cloud Financial Credit Union has become the first credit union to integrate and custody Bitcoin directly on its core ledger, holding over 20 BTC in member custody vaults. The institution, which manages roughly $350 million in assets, utilizes a patent-pending hybrid custody framework with multisignature vault architecture to let members maintain individual ownership. Led by CEO Jed Meyer, the credit union provides direct buy-and-sell capabilities and plans future integration with the Lightning Network, operating under state custody guidelines and National Credit Union Administration oversight.
