Spot ETH ETFs Experience Alarming Fourth Straight Day of Outflows
U.S. spot ETH ETFs recorded a fourth consecutive day of net outflows, with roughly $23.7 million leaving these products on April 30, extending a four-day run to more than $80 million in cumulative redemptions. BlackRock’s standard ETHA led outflows (-$50.6m) while its staking product ETHB drew +$29.1m, underscoring investor preference for yield-enhanced exposure. Other notable moves: Fidelity FETH -$1.1m, Bitwise ETHW -$3.6m, Grayscale ETHE -$2.2m and Grayscale Mini ETH +$4.7m. The flows come amid sideways ETH price action (~$3,000–$3,200), suggesting short-term profit-taking and rotation into staking vehicles rather than outright abandonment of Ethereum exposure. Sustained outflows could weigh on sentiment and put pressure on ETH price, but historically similar ETF outflow streaks have been short-lived. Watch staking-product flows and upcoming network upgrades (Dencun) for potential reversal catalysts.
