SPCX Hits $2.7 Trillion Valuation on Third-Day Rally

SpaceX shares extended their post-IPO surge on June 16, rising 4.8% and briefly lifting the company’s market value to $2.7 trillion, surpassing Amazon and Microsoft intraday. The rally followed a strong Nasdaq debut on June 12 when SPCX opened at $135, briefly exceeded $2 trillion in valuation, and closed at $160.95, up more than 19%. While enthusiasm for the record $75 billion IPO absorbed capital, investors rotated out of other megacaps, leaving Nvidia down 13% and Microsoft 15% lower in June. Analysts continue to highlight Microsoft’s attractive 23.2x trailing earnings multiple and a $555 price target from BNP Paribas amid the ongoing AI rotation.
