SpaceX-Tesla Merger: Ron Baron Told Elon Musk 'Whatever You Decide... Is What I'm Going to Support'

Billionaire investor Ron Baron, founder and CEO of Baron Capital, expressed full backing for Elon Musk regarding any potential merger between Tesla Inc. and SpaceX. Having invested in Tesla since 2014 and SpaceX since 2017, Baron revealed that the two holdings have generated approximately $30 billion in profits for his clients out of $71 billion in total lifetime profits. Currently, Baron Capital holds around $25 billion in SpaceX stock and $5 billion in Tesla stock. While Baron mentioned that he privately shared both the potential advantages and disadvantages of a corporate union with Musk, he confirmed he will support whichever path Musk chooses. Speculation regarding a potential tie-up between the electric vehicle maker and aerospace company gained fresh momentum following Musk's recent remarks at the All-In Podcast summit. Baron also delivered a highly bullish long-term forecast for SpaceX's satellite internet division, Starlink. He projected that Starlink's annual revenue could reach $1 trillion within a decade, yielding $700 billion to $800 billion in EBITDA as its user base scales from roughly 15 million to 300 million subscribers, potentially elevating Starlink's valuation to between $14 trillion and $15 trillion.
