SILVERCORP REPORTS ADJUSTED NET INCOME OF $53.9 MILLION, $0.24 PER SHARE, AND CASH FLOW FROM OPERATING ACTIVITIES OF $61.7 MILLION FOR Q1 FISCAL 2027
Silvercorp Metals reported strong Q1 fiscal 2027 results, driven by a surge in silver prices and higher revenue from its mining operations. Revenue rose 70% year over year to $138.7 million, helped by a 135% jump in realized silver price to $69.38/oz. Net income attributable to shareholders more than tripled to $59.4 million, while adjusted earnings rose to $53.9 million and operating cash flow increased to $61.7 million. However, the company also warned that production will be disrupted in Q2 fiscal 2027 because it voluntarily suspended operations in China to complete safety-system upgrades and comply with new regulations, with output expected to fall 40% to 50%. The report also highlighted continued spending on growth projects in China, Ecuador, and Kyrgyzstan, including El Domo and Kuanping, and a strong cash position of $387.1 million plus a $303.6 million equity investment portfolio.
