Silver Falls to $67.32 as Israel-Iran Strikes Escalate

Silver futures opened sharply lower on June 8, 2026, with July contracts down 1.8% at $67.84/oz and easing further to $67.32 amid renewed Israel-Iran missile strikes. The decline follows a nearly 7% crash in the prior session, pulling prices well below last week’s $74-$75 range and 8.8% lower than a week ago. Stronger U.S. jobs data and rising oil toward $100 lifted rate-hike odds to 51% by December, pressuring non-yielding metals even as geopolitical tensions persist. MCX silver July futures fell Rs 5,537 to Rs 2,43,000/kg while spot silver dropped 0.4% to $67.52/oz.
