Scaleway Selects AMD Instinct MI355X Chips for Sweden AI Supercomputer

Scaleway plans to build Europe's first commercial AI supercomputer powered by Advanced Micro Devices processors in Sweden. Announced at Scaleway's annual AI conference in Paris, the deployment marks the French cloud provider's first major AI infrastructure project outside France. The supercomputer will utilize AMD's flagship Instinct MI355X chips and open-source ROCm software stack to compete against Nvidia's Blackwell line and CUDA platform. Assembly and maintenance will be handled by Bull, alongside infrastructure partners Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Giga Computing, VAST Data, and Motul.
