SBI Shinsei Bank’s three-month pilot went live on June 10, enabling depositors across 4.33 million accounts to convert up to 20% of interest earned into vouchers redeemable for Bitcoin, Ethereum, or XRP via SBI VC Trade. The program covers ordinary savings and fixed deposits from three months to five years, with principal remaining in insured yen accounts at a base yield of roughly 0.42%.
