Robinhood Completes $180 Million WonderFi Deal to Enter Canada

Robinhood has entered the Canadian crypto market after completing its C$180 million acquisition of WonderFi on June 2. The deal brings regulated platforms Bitbuy and Coinsquare plus roughly 300,000 funded customers under Robinhood’s control, expanding its global footprint beyond the earlier reported $250 million valuation. WonderFi’s 2025 revenue reached $49.8 million, while Robinhood’s worldwide funded customers now exceed 1 million. The company also highlighted its Ethereum layer-2 testnet, which processed about 4 million transactions in its first week, and confirmed that AI-driven Agentic Trading features will expand from equities into crypto and derivatives.
