RailsX Goes Live: Amboss Enables Self-Custodial Bitcoin-Stablecoin Swaps on Lightning

Amboss has fully launched RailsX on April 28, 2026, enabling peer-to-peer, self-custodial bitcoin swaps with USDT-L and USDC-L over Lightning channels for atomic settlements in seconds and low fees. Earlier announcements detailed integration with Magma liquidity and Thunderhub, building on Speed Wallet's 18-month stablecoin history. With Lightning capacity at $380 million (~4,870 BTC), RailsX could shift trading volume from exchanges, boosting on-chain activity and Bitcoin's utility as a medium of exchange.
