Premarket movers: Nvidia in focus, Intuit slides and Semtech surges

U.S. stock index futures traded flat on Wednesday as market participants held back ahead of critical U.S. inflation figures and semiconductor giant NVIDIA's quarterly earnings release. Both upcoming catalysts are widely viewed by Wall Street as critical tests for future interest-rate expectations and the overall durability of the broader artificial intelligence rally. Dow futures were flat, while S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures slid 0.1% and 0.2% respectively. Individual equities experienced sharp premarket fluctuations across diverse sectors. Intuit shares slumped 11.8% to $315.30 after delivering soft fiscal 2027 revenue and profit forecasts that overshadowed a fourth-quarter earnings beat. In contrast, Semtech surged 4.7% on record fiscal second-quarter earnings of $0.71 per share and robust forward guidance driven by strong data center demand. Meanwhile, Boston Scientific declined 3.2% following a disruptive cybersecurity incident affecting its IT systems and global order fulfillment operations.
