Pinterest stock rises after unveiling AI infrastructure with Nvidia

Pinterest Inc. shares rose 1.8% following the announcement of a new artificial intelligence infrastructure layer developed in collaboration with NVIDIA. The system integrates NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, NVIDIA Dynamo, and Pinterest's visual embeddings to power multimodal AI applications across the platform, including visual search, content understanding, ranking, and safety systems. According to Pinterest, the upgraded infrastructure allows the Pinterest Assistant to handle 25 times more visual context per user request. Benchmark testing revealed significant performance improvements, including roughly 85 times faster response startup and 7.3 times faster overall latency when leveraging precomputed visual representations rather than repeatedly processing raw images. This deployment enhances Pinterest's core intelligence layer, which processes over 80 billion searches every month. The project expands on a five-year collaborative effort between Pinterest and NVIDIA spanning more than 14,000 GPUs, highlighting ongoing enterprise adoption and high computational demand for NVIDIA's next-generation Blackwell computing architecture.
