Peter Schiff Renews Call for Investors to Sell Bitcoin and Buy Gold

Economist Peter Schiff has renewed his warning for investors to liquidate Bitcoin and purchase gold amid persistent macroeconomic pressures. Bitcoin recently traded near $81,548, down roughly 35.3% from its October 2025 record of $126,080 and down 6.8% year-to-date, following a brief dip below $80,000 that triggered approximately $972 million in derivatives liquidations. Spot gold has slipped 4.6% year-to-date to around $4,155. Schiff's cautionary calls follow accelerating U.S. inflation, which reached 3.7% annually in September, pushing the 10-year Treasury yield to 5.19% alongside Federal Reserve benchmark rates at 3.75%–4.00%.
