Thieves Steal Over 60 Bitcoin From Scammer via Ledger Supply-Chain Breach

Thieves stole more than 60 Bitcoin, valued at $4.8 million to $4.9 million, from three Ledger-linked addresses belonging to an online task scammer. According to Chainalysis, the operator originally deposited the fraudulent proceeds into three hardware wallets on September 22 before attackers drained the balances to a single wallet on October 9. The theft was linked to a broader supply-chain breach of Ledger devices sold through Malaysian reseller CryptoBilis, where physical implants intercepted seed phrases. Analytics firm Specter estimated total losses from the Ledger breach at approximately $86 million.
