Over 11,000 Bitcoin millionaires added in August 2026

During August, the number of Bitcoin addresses holding over $1 million increased by 10.4%, adding 11,636 millionaire wallets to reach a total of 123,482, according to data compiled from BitInfoCharts. A similar expansion was observed among major whales, where wallets containing over $10 million in BTC rose by 11.24% from 14,009 to 15,584 addresses. This surge in high-net-worth wallet addresses coincided with a significant monthly price recovery. Bitcoin advanced 21.46% over the 30-day period to trade around $78,092, marking price levels not seen since May. However, millionaire addresses still sit 6.19% below the 131,125 wallets recorded at the beginning of the year, suggesting that the broader market recovery is still in its early stages. Market analysts remain largely optimistic about Bitcoin's forward trajectory, with many forecasting potential targets near or exceeding $100,000 before year-end, although traders warn that temporary bearish corrections could occur before a definitive breakout.
