Over $100 billion flows into crypto in a day as Bitcoin targets $80,000

Crypto markets saw a rapid risk-on rotation after a sudden de‑escalation in the Middle East, with total market capitalization jumping to $2.61 trillion—about $100 billion higher in 24 hours. Bitcoin led the rally, trading near $77,080 (up ~2.8%) and probing toward an $80,000 target, while Ethereum, XRP and BNB also rose. The move was amplified by heavy derivatives activity: roughly $750 million in liquidations (about $590 million shorts), bitcoin accounted for ~$390 million of those liquidations, open interest rose ~5% to north of $130 billion and futures volume climbed over 15% to roughly $246 billion. Falling oil prices (around an 11% drop) eased inflation fears and helped restore risk appetite, lifting equities and crypto. Analysts warn of possible profit-taking and mixed on‑chain signals at higher levels.
