OneRail launches AI platform with Nvidia for retailers to make faster delivery decisions

Logistics and last-mile delivery provider OneRail has launched OmniStar, a new artificial intelligence platform developed in partnership with Nvidia. The platform utilizes Nvidia hardware and AI software alongside OneRail's proprietary network data—which encompasses over 12 million drivers and 1,000 logistics partners—to help retailers automate and optimize complex delivery decisions in real time. By transitioning from manual planning to AI-driven routing, the system slashes package routing decision times from approximately 20 minutes down to two and a half minutes. The deployment aims to level the playing field for smaller and mid-sized retailers, enabling them to match the fulfillment speed, margins, and operational efficiency of e-commerce giants such as Amazon and Walmart. Early enterprise testing has demonstrated significant cost savings, including an estimated $40 million three-year run-rate reduction for a major tire distributor. OneRail forecasts that OmniStar will surpass $6 billion in gross merchandise volume during the fourth quarter, further validating the commercial expansion of Nvidia's enterprise AI ecosystem into physical supply chain logistics.
