Nvidia Unveils Vera Rubin Platform as China Vera CPU Orders Advance

Nvidia announced its full Vera Rubin platform on June 27, capping a month of rapid commercialization. The June 1 GTC Taipei launch was followed by HBM4 certifications for Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron on June 5, rack-scale validation by CoreWeave on June 13, and Dell/Supermicro server unveilings on June 22. Despite U.S. GPU curbs, Nvidia began taking Chinese orders for stand-alone Vera CPUs with August availability, as reported June 12 and June 26. Shares closed near $209 after a 1.64% dip on the China news. The platform targets scientific supercomputing and agentic AI workloads with 10x prior-generation throughput.
