Nvidia Defends Dealings With Customer Linked to Alleged Chinese Espionage Investigation

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that business interactions with Singapore-based Megaspeed were normal commercial engagements, after reports revealed U.S. intelligence investigated former executive Alice Huang over suspected Chinese espionage ties. The probe raised concerns that she targeted Jensen Huang to access technological roadmaps and bypass U.S. export restrictions. Trade records indicate Megaspeed's Malaysian affiliate acquired at least $4.8 billion in Nvidia-powered equipment between June 2024 and February 2026. Nvidia emphasized that it audited every GPU deployment, past diversion allegations were thoroughly debunked, and no trade secrets or national security information were compromised.
