Nvidia Partners With Pony.ai and inDrive for Kazakhstan Robotaxi Deployment

Nvidia, Pony.ai, and ride-hailing platform inDrive have partnered to test and deploy Level 4 autonomous ride-hailing services in Astana, Kazakhstan, beginning in the first half of 2027. Under the agreement, inDrive will manage the ride-hailing platform, Pony.ai will supply its seventh-generation robotaxis, and Nvidia will provide its Hyperion computing platform, Halos safety architecture, and AI infrastructure. The pilot follows an agreement with the Kazakh government establishing the country's first legal framework for driverless transport. Initial trials will feature safety operators before advancing to commercial deployment. Following the announcement, Pony.ai shares rose 2.8% in Hong Kong trading.
