Nvidia Adds Record $150 Billion to Share Repurchase Authorization

Nvidia has authorized a record $150 billion increase to its share repurchase program, lifting its total remaining buyback capacity to $235 billion. The Santa Clara, California-based chipmaker expects to execute the repurchases through fiscal year 2028, supported by cash generation from surging artificial intelligence and accelerated computing infrastructure demand. Following the announcement, Nvidia's shares gained between 1.2% and 1.7% in premarket trading and advanced 1.9% in morning trading. The company previously grew buybacks from about $10 billion in fiscal 2023 to nearly $34 billion in fiscal 2025.
