Nokia accelerates network automation through agentic, unified data foundation with Microsoft
Nokia has expanded its longstanding collaboration with Microsoft to accelerate telecom network automation by building an agentic, unified data foundation. The multi-vendor, cross-domain solution integrates Nokia Data Suite's prebuilt telco data products with Microsoft Fabric's analytics, data governance, and artificial intelligence capabilities. This integration enables operators to securely consolidate fragmented network data and access trusted insights in minutes rather than weeks. The unified system supports hybrid, cloud, and on-premises deployments while meeting strict regulatory standards. It enables agentic artificial intelligence workflows, including automated root-cause analysis, closed-loop network management, and AI-driven operational copilots for network engineers. Key launch use cases target radio access network (RAN) optimization, predictive maintenance, and autonomous Voice over New Radio (VoNR) assurance. For Microsoft, the partnership enhances the reach of Microsoft Fabric and its AI ecosystem—including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Azure-based tools—within the global telecommunications sector. By transforming static telecom infrastructure into programmable, AI-native platforms, the joint initiative strengthens Microsoft's enterprise cloud positioning across mission-critical networking environments.
