Nigel Farage-backed Stack BTC eyes $16 million gold dealer deal to fund bitcoin buy
Stack BTC (STAK), a UK-based Bitcoin treasury company backed by Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, has proposed the acquisition of precious metals dealer Direct Bullion for up to £12 million ($16 million). The non-binding deal structured as a reverse takeover includes £3 million in upfront cash, approximately £4 million in shares with a four-year lock-in, and £5 million in performance-linked cash payments. Under the proposed strategy, Stack BTC aims to harness the operating cash flows generated from precious metals sales to fund ongoing Bitcoin accumulation. Direct Bullion reported solid operational performance for the fiscal year ended January 2026, posting £52.1 million in revenue alongside £2.15 million in profit after tax. Currently, Stack BTC holds approximately 68 BTC valued at around $5.2 million. This transaction represents the company's first corporate acquisition designed to convert traditional commercial cash flows into digital asset reserves, highlighting an expanding corporate treasury adoption model in the UK.
