Netflix, MercadoLibre, and Tesla Are All Underperforming the S&P 500. Here's the 1 Stock I'd Buy in September.

Shares of Netflix, MercadoLibre, and Tesla have all underperformed the broader market, down 14%, 3%, and 21% respectively year-to-date. Despite the recent stock declines, all three businesses continue to show operational expansion, prompting analysis into which offers the best risk-reward profile for investors. Netflix has seen its top-line revenue growth decelerate from 18% down to a projected 11.7% for the current quarter. After losing over a third of its value from previous highs, the streaming giant now trades at a more modest valuation of approximately 25 times trailing earnings and 21 times forward earnings estimates. Although bottom-line earnings continue to grow at roughly twice the rate of revenue, analysts project a modest 45% revenue increase over the next four years. Comparatively, MercadoLibre is selected as the top buy among the three due to its 50% quarterly revenue surge and 30 consecutive quarters of 30%-plus growth, while Tesla faces margin pressures and high valuation multiples.
