Netflix Ousts Film Chief Dan Lin Amid 6% Layoffs and Content Reshuffle

Netflix has ousted film division head Dan Lin, marking its second senior departure in less than a week alongside layoffs affecting roughly 1,000 employees, or about 6% of its global workforce. The restructuring follows the exit of chief content officer Bela Bajaria, whose successor, former Disney and Fox executive Peter Rice, will lead the film division on an interim basis. The leadership turnover comes ahead of third-quarter earnings after Co-CEO Ted Sarandos noted that growth has lagged expectations. Management reaffirmed its full-year guidance for 13% to 14% revenue growth to around $51 billion.
