Neptune Receives First Tranche of Free-Trading SpaceX Shares

Neptune Digital Assets said it received the first tranche of 29,879 free-trading SpaceX shares after the IPO lock-up expired, marking the first liquidity event on its position. The tranche is valued at about CAD$6.1 million. Neptune disclosed it holds roughly 163,000 SpaceX shares bought at an average cost of US$20 per share for total cost of US$3.3 million, versus a current market value near US$24 million (CAD$33 million), implying more than a 7x return on paper. The company said no shares have been sold yet and the rest of the holdings will be released according to the lock-up schedule. The update highlights a meaningful unrealized gain and potential future monetization of a large private-market investment, which may support Neptune’s balance sheet and shareholder value if it trims the position over time.
