NASDAQ on pace for its worst day day since April 10, 2025
The NASDAQ (US Tech 100) plunged over 1,000 points (-3.84%) to around 25,801, hitting a session low of 25,753.93 and marking its worst intraday showing since April 10, 2025. The selloff was driven by reports Microsoft may tap equity markets to fund AI infrastructure, along with rising Treasury yields, higher energy costs and inflation concerns. Technically, the index has moved below its 100- and 200-hour moving averages; the next critical support is the 50% retracement at 25,694.60.
