MindWalk Brings OpenFold3 into Production in Minutes with AMD Inference Microservices on Vultr Kubernetes Engine

MindWalk Holdings Corp. has announced successful results from a production deployment of the open-source OpenFold3 biomolecular structure prediction model, executed alongside engineering partners Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Vultr. The deployment utilizes Vultr Kubernetes Engine and Vultr Cloud GPU powered by AMD Instinct MI325X GPUs, delivered via AMD Inference Microservices (AIM). During production testing across protein, RNA, DNA, and antibody-antigen discovery workflows, the setup achieved significant performance gains. Notably, antibody-antigen inference ran approximately 5x faster compared to MindWalk's previous computing environment. The deployment demonstrated rapid scalability, setting up a production-grade prediction environment within minutes and validating AMD's microservices for complex life sciences applications. This validation reinforces AMD's growing footprint in the enterprise AI and life sciences hardware sectors, showing that its Instinct MI325X GPUs and software stack provide competitive, cost-efficient compute infrastructure for complex enterprise AI inference workloads.
