Microsoft terminates UK data center agreement with Nscale, Telegraph reports

Microsoft has terminated its data center agreement with British cloud infrastructure provider Nscale, according to a report by The Telegraph. The contract covered a planned data center facility in Loughton, Essex, with no immediate reason disclosed for the withdrawal. The move impacts Nvidia-backed Nscale, which filed for a U.S. initial public offering last month and designated Microsoft alongside AI startup Anthropic as its primary anchor customers. Nscale has expanded its total contracted value from $100 million to more than $103 billion across two-and-a-half years.
