Michael Saylor Breaks Silence on Clarity Act Failure, States New BTC Expectations

Michael Saylor has addressed the cryptocurrency market following the U.S. Senate's failure to pass the CLARITY Act, a long-awaited regulatory bill intended to establish clear guidelines for digital assets. Despite the legislative setback triggering negative momentum and downward pressure across the broader cryptocurrency sector, Saylor emphasized that the outcome does not represent a structural barrier for Bitcoin or the broader digital asset market. Saylor called upon key regulatory authorities, including the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), and the U.S. Treasury, to continue advancing regulatory frameworks and clarity under existing legal statutes. He stated that institutional progress does not rely solely on new congressional legislation to move forward. Additionally, Saylor highlighted that commercial banks and traditional financial institutions are positioned to drive long-term Bitcoin adoption. He expects financial institutions to expand Bitcoin custody offerings and loan products backed by digital assets, facilitating institutional integration regardless of legislative delays in Congress.
