MEXC Adds 1,000 Bitcoin to Guardian Fund, Boosting Reserve Holdings to 2,000 BTC

Cryptocurrency exchange MEXC's Guardian Fund reserves now stand at 2,000 BTC and 100 million USDT following a fresh deposit of 1,000 Bitcoin. The transfer represents the exchange's second major Bitcoin allocation to the reserve in 2026, following an initial 1,000 BTC deposit made in May. The addition advances MEXC's two-year plan, announced in May 2026, to expand the total valuation of the user protection fund from $100 million to $500 million. MEXC stated that the dedicated emergency fund balances remain independent from daily operating funds and publicly verifiable on-chain.
