Metaplanet Repurchases ¥19.31 Billion in Shares Funded by Zero-Coupon Convertible Bond Offering

Japan-listed Metaplanet repurchased 73.98 million common shares for ¥19.31 billion at ¥261 per share via ToSTNeT-3. The buyback was financed by a ¥52 billion zero-coupon convertible bond due in October 2031, priced at a ¥339 conversion price. Net proceeds of approximately ¥51.9 billion will fund up to ¥28.3 billion in share buybacks and allocate ¥23.6 billion to pay down Bitcoin-collateralized loans. The moves aim to unencumber pledged collateral and lower debt against its 44,000 BTC reserve, which exceeded the internal 10% threshold at 17.7% as of September 30.
