Metaplanet Expands Treasury to 44,000 Bitcoin Following Active Third-Quarter Rebalancing Maneuver

Metaplanet holds 44,000 Bitcoin valued at approximately $3.8 billion as of September 30, ranking as the second-largest publicly listed corporate Bitcoin holder globally. The company added a net 1,000 BTC in the third quarter after executing an active rebalancing maneuver to show balance sheet liquidity. In that transaction, Metaplanet sold 10,000 BTC for $789.2 million at $78,925 per coin before repurchasing 11,000 BTC for $948.7 million at $86,246 per coin. Metaplanet's cumulative holdings carry a cost basis of $4.33 billion, or $98,454 per coin, alongside a new Net Interest Income Strategy.
