Meta Unveils Standalone Muse Charm AI Hardware Device Slated for December Release

Meta Platforms has unveiled Muse Charm, a standalone pocket-sized AI hardware device featuring a two-inch display, front and rear cameras, and 5G connectivity, targeting shipments by December. Unveiled by CEO Mark Zuckerberg at Meta Connect 2026, the device bypasses smartphone operating systems to deliver direct access to the Muse AI agent. The hardware launch follows strong early consumer momentum for Muse, which gained 2.5 million downloads since September 8 and lifted Meta's stock by more than 25%. Meta plans to monetize the ecosystem via transaction fees from shopping partnerships with retailers including Walmart and Best Buy.
