Meta Partners With Australia's Firmus for AI Computing Capacity in Southeast Asia

Meta Platforms has signed artificial intelligence infrastructure agreements with Australian data center operator Firmus to secure GPU computing capacity across Southeast Asia. Under the deal, Firmus will supply contracted capacity and expansion options built on Nvidia's full-stack DSX platform to support Meta's AI research, model development, and training workloads. Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal expands Meta's existing deployment of Nvidia GB300 NVL72 systems at Firmus' Melbourne facility, which is the Southern Hemisphere's largest Blackwell Ultra deployment, as Firmus prepares for a planned $5 billion IPO.
